The Chicken or The Egg?

The other day we were at a table having a picnic in the park when Heidleere asked if there was any barbecue chicken left. Brombeere said, "No, its gone." Sweet little Miss C spoke up.
Miss C: "Hey! if we still have have boiled eggs there's still chicken left!"
Me, shortly after peeling an egg a few minutes later: "Hey, Miss C!  Show me on this "chicken" where the drumstick is."
Miss C, after giving me a funny look: "That's not a chicken, that's an egg!"
Me: "But you said if we had eggs we still had chicken.  Show me the drumstick."
Miss C ran off to the playground at that point.
