The Footling

Long awaited, much anticipated, this little baby finally made her appearance!  Because she was breech a C-Section had been scheduled for Monday.  But then the water broke on Saturday.  This little kid was coming, ready or not.

Proving that she was breech, she stuck a foot out, like sticking a toe into the waters of mortality, testing the water to see if she really wanted to come into this stream of life.  And so she came.
We had been planning on going over Monday evening to see her but since she came on Saturday we altered our plans a bit and came on over.
Grandma and grandbaby - what a combination.
And what a sweet little grandbaby she is.  C-Section babies are so pretty since they miss out on all the squishy stress of going through the birth canal.  Pink, no bruises - just cuteness.
So everybody took turns holding the baby and she slept through it all.
This dear little girl came fully equipped with a full head of dark hair.  Nice!
Cousins; little girls - sweet babies.  They go together so well.
Even little Peanut took a turn.
And she slept through it all.
Yes, a certain amount of silliness was on exhibition.
Plenty of cousins on hand to welcome the new little girl.
Yes, some more silliness.

It was a good visit.  You wait all that time, the mom goes through all that discomfort, but then she's here and its all forgotten.  We're just thankful she arrived safely and everyone is okay.
Yep, having tested the waters, this little footling is all in and here to stay.  And so the adventure begins.
